10 months old (already???)

My how the time does fly when you're having fun. And when you're not having fun. I'm enjoying seeing the new things she is doing, but I'm also seeing some things that I know I am not going to enjoy - like a little fit-throwing, a little temper, a little like her mother...

Even though she's almost 11 months old, i always keep up with new things she does on the family calendar throughout the month. When she does something new, i just write it down and that way I can keep up with it for her scrapbook, or this blog!!!

So, new things this month...

2 new little top teeth!
First strep throat infection
Cruising along furniture and people
Stands alone (for a few moments)
Says "ma-ma" when she is crying for me!
No more baby food! eats all solids...
Favorite toys - no toys! only interest in cabinets, drawers, cords, outlets, toilets, plungers, etc. Anything not available to her!
Loves to crawl in, over and under anything that she can not get out of by herself.
Hates to be restrained in any form!
And, this is nothing new, but HATES the car seat and riding in the car! it makes running errands totally miserable!
Wearing 6 - 12 month clothes
Weighs 18.2 pounds
Loves to babble, talk, spit and laugh!

I love my little Emily! I cannot believe how fast the summer has gone by. In just two short weeks I will have to put her back in daycare and I can't tell you how I feel.

Our trip to Destin...

Here are a few pics from our vacation in Destin. Actually, it was kind of a stressful time for me. Hopefully, as the years roll on, things will settle down more and it won't be so stressful to all be together all the time for a week at the time. That's normal for everybody else, right???

Project #2

I made this cheer bag for Katie when she went to her first cheer camp in Alabama at the end of June/beginning of July. It turned out a little larger than I had expected. Actually, a lot larger than I expected. Gary asked if it was a body bag.

Noah's 8th Birthday

Noah turned 8 on July 9, and we had his party at the Crossfire Commandoes Superhero Training Center on the friday night before we were leaving for Destin! It was very busy and chaotic, but he had a great time! And neutral ground is always good for two exes to be around each other.

Our Anniversary Trip

Gary and I rented a cabin outside of Gatlinburg, TN to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. The view was beautiful, and we enjoyed shopping, sight-seeing and a white-water rafting trip!

On a happier note...

sorry to my faithful readers for the bitterness of my last post. sometimes i do need to vent. i have been warned, "what if she reads this somehow?" to that i say, i do not care. we did tell her that we didn't like it and we didn't want it to happen again, that is was awkward, and she needed to sit somewhere else next time. do you think she really cared? nope. our counselor has told us to NEVER sit with her, NEVER have a conversation with her, communicate through a mediator and voicemail, maybe an email or two - i really believe we are going to have to follow his advice to a "t" to deal with a pill like her. so, here are a couple of cute pics - Em on the 4th of July and at the park today with the two men in her life, eating her favorite - a banana!

The psychostalker strikes again...

This is what I should have been doing - enjoying the fireworks in my town, in my subdivision, with my husband and my baby and my friend and her child. unfortunately as you all may have guessed by the title, this is not what took place. Gary had to work the festival because he was on shift with the fire station. So, I had planned to celebrate our first fourth of july with a picnic and a cute little blanket, etc. you get the idea. katie and noah were supposed to be with their mom. who doesn't live in bartlett. and has never come to the festival in the past three years that i've been with gary. my friend and her son were meeting us there, too. she is a former friend of the ex-wife aka psychostalker. so, imagine my surprise when christy walks up with the kids and throws her blanket down and puts her chairs up. i really was in denial at this point. i thought maybe i was having a nightmare. but i couldn't wake up. but she didn't stop there. she moved her chair between my friend and i won't bore you with the details of the conversation but i did overhear her discussing her STD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was mortified!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully your kids are not reading this right now.... gary of course stayed away and it just ruined the whole night. i really don't know how much longer i can do this. everywhere i go there she is. and she doesn't just walk by or say hello. she follows me and she sits with me and she bothers me. i do not want my daughter around her! it is just nuts. that is the only way i know how to say it. she has followed me to restaurants with friends and tried to sit with us. she has called my parents (got the number out of katie's cell phone), and i won't even go into what she tries to act like with the baby. does "aunt christy" make anybody's skin crawl? i mean, seriously. what ex-wife would want to hang around their husband's new wife all the time? i seriously am thinking about inquiring about stalking, all joking aside. we already have a criminal trespassing injunction against her for our home. maybe i need to extend that to the city of bartlett. i just think as long she's not threatening me, i don't know that i can do anything about it. but i really am tired of this.
and oh, by the way, emily has strep. karie, aren't you glad we didn't do a play date with hudson this week???

Trip to the Sprinkler Park

Katie is at Cheer Camp this week, so Em, Noah and I headed to Collierville to the sprinkler park there. Em wasn't quite sure about water spraying up in her face, but Noah loved it!
